Ryan Fetzer '24 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for reviewing my profile and considering me for your program. My name is Ryan Fetzer and I am from Houston, TX. I will be a 2024 graduate from Strake Jesuit College Preparatory and I play Attacking Mid, Holding Mid, Center, and Outside Back. I currently play for Coach Bruce Talbot on Houston FC USL Academy and Houston FC UPSL (U23+). I am a high achiever and want to major in Business.

I have played soccer since I was 4 years old and competitive soccer since I was 9, playing up in my most recent years.  This year I am the captain of our USL Academy and I also train and play in the UPSL (U23+).  I train with the Houston FC USL League Two team during the summer. I have the physical strength and soccer IQ that allow me to play at a higher level than many of my peers. I have also earned Academic President's Honor Roll in each quarter of my high school career and have a strong commitment to my community.

I am versatile, easy to coach, accountable, and have a strong team-first attitude.  I am a very physical player and play unselfishly.  I am fast with a great right foot and a solid left.  I am a hard worker on the field and in the classroom, training year-round, sometimes twice a day for school and club.  I use my recovery time to study, catch up with friends, watch college and pro soccer, and listen to music.
