I’m a 16 year old teen, trying everyday to follow my dreams academically and sports wise. Being a teenager is not easy, especially when friends or other teammates invite me to have fun that I know is not going to help me physically and academically. Saying no to them is hard, I’m young but I have priorities. I don’t go out with friends, just family reunions because I don’t want to take my mind off of what I really want in life. Sometimes I do miss family time and that’s only when I’m playing, have to study, or have homework. I’m very dedicated on my self, my parents have thought me that with responsibility and dedication I will persuade my dreams one day. I have three siblings and I’m the only athlete. Being the third child I feel that I have done what my older two siblings wish they did at my age. Also having a younger brother that looks up to me, gives me the courage and strength to keep working hard to be someone one day.
