Joshua Eckhart '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach,

I am fortunate to be part of the HTX Soccer Club (formerly the Houston Dynamo Soccer Club) and grateful for the coaches who have invested their time and knowledge to make me a better player.  Our club has over 9,000 players and top-level competition.

As a result of my coach’s investment in me and by working hard to sharpen my tactical, technical and leadership abilities, I have been named team captain for The Woodlands, Texas Gold Team.

I have played for many teams, and I have learned how to adapt my play to take advantage of the strengths we had. I learned the value of teamwork, hard work and leadership from each of the teams I played with.  Because I have played forward and goalkeeper I understand the game very well.  

My love of competition is part of my DNA.  And because I am the youngest of three brothers, I learned to compete against bigger and stronger people since I could walk.  I believe I have the talent to compete at the collegiate level as well as the character and leadership skills to make an impact on your team.   I will help your team win games.
