Owen Woodside '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Owen Woodside. I’m currently entering my senior year at Dawson High School in Pearland Texas. I am committed to playing soccer in College. My club experience has been a starting midfielder on an independent team (SBYSC Hurricanes) that has consistently been one of the top Houston teams in the South Texas Youth Soccer Association State Classic League. At Dawson High School, I have been a starting midfielder/forward on the Varsity team since my freshman year. As a junior, I was first team All District, and the teams offensive MVP leading the team in both goals and assists. I’ve been active in the Olympic development program, being selected to the South Texas State Team for 6 years and recognized as a Region III Pool player in 2017 and 2019. I was also called up to represent South Texas in the Generations Adidas Cup in 2018. In the classroom I believe I will be ready for the academic challenges of college as my coursework has included a majority of AP classes. My main goal in the coming year is to identify a college that fits me as a student athlete.
