Britton Jones '16 Recruiting Profile

Diligence, hard work, and leadership are 3 important traits that I can offer any program. I have been the captain of my team and received 90% of the playing time, but I have  also experienced the challenge of being the 3rd goalkeeper and having to work hard at every practice and every minute on the field just to prove I could perform for the team. This has taught me the value of hard work and patience.

I am a leader on and off the field. Off the field, I have held an executive office for my school’s Student Congress, as well as through volunteer/service organizations. On the field, I was taught at an early age the importance of a goalkeeper being a leader on the field and communicating with the team. I am looking to play soccer in college at a school that places a high emphasis on academics, as well as athletics, and values the 3 traits that I possess.

The past 2 years I have played USSF Academy U16 and U18. My club lost its Academy status, so I have moved to the Dallas Texans NPL and Division I Classic League team.
