Jayson Avila '24 Recruiting Profile

I am in the graduating class of 2024 at James Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas. As a senior center back I play for both the James Madison High School Varsity Team and the Legends Tigres FC 06B Team. I have several years of starting experience from multiple teams I have played for. I’d like to tell you a little bit about my background. Throughout my life I have played soccer. My passion for the sport began at the young age of 3 and has continued since, which demonstrates my dedication and loyalty to the sport. My goal has always been to play in college and at the highest level of competition, hopefully at a Division I school. This is something I’ve always dreamt of and what drives me as a player. As a versatile student-athlete, I believe my skills are sufficient to compete at that level. My ideal athletic experience would be one where I could make a contribution early in my collegiate career, hopefully as a freshman. I strive to be an impact player, always looking at how to help my team win. What I can offer your team is speed, quickness, agility, and a well-rounded soccer IQ. What you get is a player who has the drive, determination, intensity, hustle, and who understands sacrifice and hard work. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college soccer career, I will strive to be an asset to the defensive line. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
