Hudson Sullivan '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a Left footed centerback looking for an opportunity to play soccer at a Division 1 University.  

I am a hard-working athlete on and off the field looking to continue my academic and athletic career. 

I am a honor roll student for all 4 years of high school. I have As in all classes except one A- my Freshmen year, currently a 96+ average and a 3.995 unweighted GPA.  

I strive for the best results in school as well as on the field.

On the field, my skill and determination has allowed me to have a really special youth soccer experience. I've played with the best teams in the country. 

I have also had the opportunity to play international games with the International Prospects Academy playing against top level academy programs in Portugal including Athletica, Sporting and Benfica. 

This is my 1st year with FC Dallas in 2024, playing for the best team in Texas.  The team is coached by Casey Cantor. We currently are ranked #1 in Texas and have the least number of goals against us per game than any team in US. We have clean sheets against all 5 of the top teams in Texas. 

Before moving to Texas, I played for Crossfire (XF) where my team won a national championship with ECNL. 

I have had the honor of guest playing for Rapids Academy in Tthe Winter of 2024 while my team was on break for High adchool. 

From 2022 to 2023 I played for Solar Academy in MLS Next where we finished 3rd in MLS Next playoffs in 2023. 

My teams have won major tournaments including Surf Cup, Dallas Cup, ECNL playoffs, And many more. 

In the past, I have taken on a leadership role, which I think is important for a defender, and I continue to strive to become a better leader.  

My coaches have said that I am "efficient" and that my best attributes are:

  - Being locked in for 90 minutes. 

  - My off ball positioning and defensive positioning. 

  - I am consistent. 

  - I make the game "boring" by playing smart, efficient passing, and my defensive positioning. Even against top D1 commits, I get feedback that "I wasn't tested because the forwards didn't do anything."

What I can offer on the pitch is an athletic and smart player, who will work hard to help get the team to reach their ultimate goals.  

Off the pitch, I can offer a genuine student/person who is kind, hard-working, and looking to make a difference. 

I am the oldest of 4 siblings. I spend my free time with my youth group "crew", participating in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, golfing, wake surfing and spending time with my friends and family. 

I live in Southlake with my family... My parents have been married for 22 years and met in College at Seattle Pacific University.
