Hello Coach,
My name is Jackson Lee. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to play for a D-1 college. I know that is something a lot of guys want so I understand how hard it will be. I would make a good candidate for your team because I bring a lot to the table. I have a lot of position flex, I am coachable, I am a team player, and I follow program rules. Those are just some things that will help you as the coach and the team.
I am a natural defender so during most of my youth I played outside back (left and right) but as I’ve grown and learned from different coaches I’ve been used all over the field. I have started as a center back, 6/8 positions to 10, 9 or wing. Usually I start at left back for RSL Academy HS, mostly in 4231 formation, and for Avalanche I play right forward in a 433. I think I’ve received excellent coaching this past few years and that has opened up my game.
Academically I wish my ACT scores were better but I plan to retake and show improvement. I will work hard and do what I can. I will always help someone if they need it and if I can't help them directly, I will find someone who can.
Summary of strengths:
* Coachable - Take instruction to heart and adapt play, to continually improve.
* Good person - I am supportive of my teammates and friends both on and off the field.
* Follow program rules - I respect the coaches to the fullest and will listen to their directions.
* Team player - My teammates' success is my success because if we all play well together we win.
* Competitive - I will fight for the ball and not back down, I will fight to win and never quit, even if we’re behind.
* Physically strong - I make sure I am living a healthy lifestyle, eating well, keeping my body in shape.
* Playing speed - I am fast, not just on the track, but I play fast on the field
* Skill on the ball - I can keep possession of the ball in tight areas because of my dribbling abilities.
* Passing - I have a great touch on the ball and provide properly weighted passes. My favorite play is to create a tap in goal for my teammates.
* Good striker of the ball - During the Summer I practice my shooting on my own for around 3 hours a day.
* Natural defender that likes to get up field - I have both a defensive and offensive mindset, when I need to I can stay back and play defense but I can also make those overlapping runs, take shots, make crosses and be a dangerous player.
Thank you for considering me for your team,
Jackson Lee
