Eli Johnson '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a smart, technical midfielder with confident ball skill, very good vision, and strong on-field instincts.  I like creating chances by playing quick possession soccer-- the way Dortmund plays--making accurate passes to break defensive lines.  I have a powerful shot from distance, good first touch and clean passing in tight spaces, and I can play long balls in the air with accuracy.  I play box to box, and my personal thing is that nobody outworks me on the pitch. 

I love playing with my club team Rangers FC 03, where we compete in Utah's top division (Premier 1).  I will be a 4-year varsity starter on my high school team (UHSAA 5A)--I'm a junior this year and team captain. 

I am a good student (current 3.99 gpa).  I am thinking about a degree in engineering or environmental science, probably going on to law school.  I want to play college soccer at a school where I can get a good education and I want to play for a coach that has high  expectations.  I thrive on competing.  Please watch me play.  I would love to talk to you about what I could bring to your program.
