Personal Statement
My name is Joseph Valle and my greatest passion is soccer. I started playing soccer at the age of 11. Throughout my years of playing club and high school, I have learned how to communicate well with others, work as a team and had the opportunity to lead as captain on several of my teams. I love the new challenge that is presented with each new game and with the several teams that I have had the opportunity to play with. Soccer has taught me to never give up on anything wither it is soccer, academics or some other thing I am trying to accomplish. I must continue to try and take risks until and even after I score my goals. A couple of things that set me apart from other players is the vision that I have of the field, and the ability to adjust to new circumstances. I have played on many different teams and have learned how to connect well with my teammates while adjusting to new circumstances. Even though my shot may not become a goal, I have learned to take risks in this sport (and others sports)and that is what life is about taking risks, putting forth your best effort while trying to reach your goals.
One of my greatest accomplishments came this last year when I was invited to train with the U17 Xolos of Tijuana Professional team. It was like a dream came true, I was able to live, eat and breath soccer with players from the professional team and have highly qualified trainers and coaches helping me to become a better player. The head director for the fuerzas básicas in Xolos Tijuana is keeping track of my progress through my club coach as he is looking to sign me with his team next year. Soccer has given me many opportunities and has taught me so much about life. I am very blessed to be a part of this sport.
