I was born on June 3rd, 1999, in Nassau, Bahamas, and is currently attending Lyndon Institute in Lyndonville, Vermont, USA with an intended graduation date of June 2017.
My father played soccer and he has passed on the gift soccer to me. I watched my father played soccer from a very young age, and every opportunity I got, I kicked his soccer ball throughout the house at an early age.”
At the age of four (4) years old, I began playing youth soccer with United Football Club, a local club. I have become an avid soccer player, and has been deemed by my coach as the most versatile player due to his ability to play various positions, namely, winger, midfield, forward and defense. I was selected to the CONCACAF Under-17 Men’s National Team 2014-2015 and wore Jersey #7. My team played Bermuda, Puerto Rico and Martinique. In November 2014, I particpicated in the Plantation Eagles FC 28th Annual Thanksgiving Tournament. I was also selected to the Bahamas Men’s National Team – 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, he also plays sand soccer.
In addition to soccer, I was involved in karate and track and field from the age of four (4) years old. I have earned a red belt in karate, and ran the 100 and 200 meters in track and field. The discipline from karate and track and field helped to shape and mold me into one of the fastest and most versatile player. I've competed in the 2015 National Track Meet for the Bahamas public and private schools, and was selected to compete in the High School Relays for the Bahamas at the IAAF on May 2nd, 2015. I attend Adidas Future 500 Summer ID camp in Philadelphiaat Eastern University and the Brian Cunningham's Central Florida Night's Soccer camp in Orlando at UCF during the month of July 2016. The skills, exposure, knowledge and experience gained was priceless and life-changing for me.
As a well-rounded individual who aspires to one day becomes an Ambassador for the Bahamas, my dream of becoming a professional soccer player has ignited a flame of passion, confidence and determination. I promised my mom something and I often recite these words to her “Mummy, I’m going to make you proud of me when I become a famous soccer player and you will retire early from your job. I’m going to be a millionaire through the gift that God has given me”.
For this reason, my "WHY" causes me to regain focus and refuels daily as to what my purpose here on earth is to do. I believe that I am a good candidate for your team because I am determined to overcome the odds in my life and to end my school years with a minimum of 3.25.
I believe that I am different because of my versatility, determination, perserverance, passion and compassion for the sport of soccer. My mom has also taught me that it doesn't matter how many times you fall, the most important thing is that you immediately get back up until you succeed.
