Personal Statement

I am Kento Yamamoto, a hyper competitive athlete who’s priorities are to win and improve. I have captained Eastside FC U19 ECNL, a nationally competitive ECNL team, for the past 4 years and competed as the starting center back/outside back. I also compete as the starting center back for the Washington ODP travel team. I take pride in my leadership and strongly believe that I can drive a team to success. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to have great coaches such as Chance Fry, Alessandro (Alex) Silva, and especially James Riley who has pushed me to become a better player and person while teaching me division 1 habits. Through soccer I’ve learned that hard work pays off, and you can reach your goals if you set your mind to it.
