Antonio D'Amico '14 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing soccer since I was 7 years old and it is of course one of my main interests. For me soccer is not just a sport, it is the demonstration of how much we care about our passion. If I play listlessly, it means that I don't care very much about it, and it cannot be called a passion. But if I demonstrate that I love what I'm doing by playing well, it is certainly a passion. I also love following my favorite teams every week and every game, even at the stadium when I can. In Italy, soccer is the most followed sport and that helps me to focus more on it once I will be in US, and it will be different from others because I know for sure (because I lived one year in US) that soccer is not the most followed sport in US. This is one of the main reasons why I think I am a good candidate for whatever team in US, because I will give more importance to soccer than others will do. Furthermore, during my soccer experience I developed a form of leadership, in fact I was the captain on almost every team I played in. And this is also the proof that soccer influenced my life not only in the athletic field, but also in my social life.
