As a child, I always aspired to be the first person in my family to graduate from college. I always believed that I could because academics came very easily to me and I always was ranked high out of my classes. I was very devoted to soccer and I was always one of the best on the team. When middle school rolled around, I hit a dark spell. I got diagnosed with depression in the 6th grade, and I quit sports altogether because I felt like I wasn't good enough. After 2 years I began to involve myself in more things such as basketball, track, and leadership. I realized that I truly enjoyed leadership and running. Freshman year I dedicated my time to leadership and cross country. Later in the year, I remembered how much I enjoyed soccer and so I tried out for the high school team and made it. Sophomore year I ran for the class presidency and lost by one vote. This made me become the Sophomore Class Treasurer and discover my love for finance and marketing. Junior year I ran for the class presidency and won. With my impact involving my leadership in the classroom, on the field, and throughout the school, I was elected as the 2020-21 ASB President for my school and I am currently working on ways to better my school and community as well as balance my time after joining a premier soccer club in order to better my skills and knowledge of the sport.
