Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Colin McKenna and I am currently a Junior at Skyline High school in Sammamish, Washington. Some of my strengths include composure on the ball, excellent touch, good vision, quick decision making, versatility on the field (I play midfield and right or left defender) and I have a strong left foot. I work hard at school and my grades and find time to volunteer and work during summer. I also have a good knowledge and interest in life and culture around the world, as I've traveled abroad a lot in my life for both soccer and with my family. I hope to play at the next level in college and major in either business, sports management or environmental studies.
Soccer has taught me so many things in life such as discipline, focus, goal setting and working with others. It has also taught me how to be a leader and how to deal with success and failure. Soccer has always been my passion which is why I give it my all every time I step on the field. I am always looking to improve myself so I can play at the next level. I really appreciate all the coaches I've had and try hard to learn from them and take their advice. I look forward to getting to know you and your team, and how I can be a valuable asset to your team and college community.
