Kaleb Truong '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a passionate, hardworking, and focused student athlete with passion for the game and a desire to compete at the collegiate level. I have been playing soccer since I can remember and my love for the game continues to grow. I am a versatile player that coaches can put in several positions depending on situations and game needs such as winger, striker, defender and even goalkeeper but my primary position is center back. I was the team captain for the last four years on my former team, EFC B06 Red (A), based on my leadership, communication, and work ethics both on and off the field. I am a great teammate and work hard to earn the respect of my teammates, coaches and parents. In addition to club soccer, I also play soccer for Skyline High School. I made the JV team in my freshman year and earned the starting center back position which I helped contribute to the undefeated season. During my sophomore year, I was selected by my teammates and coach to be captain. Additionally, I received the honor of Most Valuable Player. Last season, my high school varsity team and I won the 4A State Championship. I earned the recognition of All-Conference Honorable Mention as well as All-State Honorable Mention. In my free time, I referee local matches around the area. 

Off the field, I work equally hard, if not harder to perform well in school where I currently have a 3.96 GPA. I take advanced classes to challenge myself and grow as an individual. Additionally, I had the opportunity to participate in a State DECA competition, in which my teammate and I placed in the top 25 out of our class in our category. I am enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Career Program (IBCP), which is an advanced, higher level academic program. My parents have instilled in me the importance of education which helped build my strong work ethics in everything I do. 

If there is one thing about me that I would like you to walk away with, it is that I will work hard every day for you to represent your college with honor and integrity; and I will perform to the best of my abilities in each and every training and game. I would appreciate every and any opportunity I get to continue my passion to play soccer at the collegiate level.
