My name is Nick Wilmot and a Junior at James Enoch's High School in Modesto, Ca. I'm currently 16, 6'1, and 200lbs. I've been swimming all year round since I was 12 for Ripon Aquatics, Coach Erik Zador. Training under Erik he looks to me to lead by example. He’s extremely hard on me yet inspires me to be my best and train hard daily. I’ve grown tremendously and continue to significantly improve under his development.
I recently qualified for all of my events for the USA SPEEDO Sections Trials & Finals, July 23-25th in Roseville, Ca. I too qualified for USA FUTURES in the Men 200 Free on May 7th, 2022 at Sectionals placing 3rd making CIF State Championships. I’m looking forward to swimming at my first USA Speedo Sectionals in July for my second taper to hit my goals for USA Futures Winter Championships, winter 2022. I’ll continue to update you as I go.
The most influential people in my life are my parents. Both of my parents swam on NCAA collegiate swimming scholarships. My Mom especially has been my pillar. She emotionally paces me and reminds me when I’m swimming exhausted that my am/pm training will pay off. I have to admit she’s right because I’m experiencing significant success shaving off time in all of my events. I forgot to mention that I swim the exact events that my Mom’ did . Not one but all! I literally can’t get away with anything but she always knows how to support me. What I’ve learned from her is that grit, perseverance, and being coachable will always get me through the hard times, and that nothing great comes without time, dedication, and hard work.
I’m looking to develop under a Divsion I or Division II program swimming with the best of the best because my team will help me get to my goals. I’m excited for my Senior year and what it will bring. Feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
Respectfully,
Nick Nickolas Wilmot Class of 2023
