I started swimming competitively at the age of twelve, and since then, swimming has become a major part of my life. As an athlete, I am constantly striving to find ways to improve, emphasizing technique analysis and pushing my own physical limits during training. I understand the need to work both smart and hard in order to achieve success. I am fiercely competitive, and I find the motivation to succeed through my failures. I believe that these qualities will allow me to succeed at the collegiate level of swimming as well.
As a teammate, I constantly try to be a source of positive energy for those around me. I recognize that teammates provide so much for each other, friendship, encouragement, competition, and I try to be all of these things for my teammates. I am steadfast in my commitment to my team and to the sport itself, and I prioritize other aspects of my life, including my rigorous academic schedule, in order to be there as much as possible for my teammates and for myself.
Overall, I believe that my commitment, motivation, and consideration will allow me to succeed and help my team at the collegiate level.
