Kyle Kengla 2023 ...Personal Statement
The ancient Chinese philosopher, Confucius, once said “The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential…these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.” This quote resonates with me as it emphasizes the importance to have purpose and motivation in everything I do. I try to live my life with the hopes that my actions and choices will help me reach my personal excellence in the pool, in the classroom, and beyond.
My name is Kyle Kengla, and I am a junior at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, California, where I have been a member of the Varsity swim team since freshman year. Additionally, I swim with the Walnut Creek Aquabears club swim team. I have been swimming competitively since 2014 and have attended many high level meets such as the Summer and Winter Junior Nationals, the CA/NV Sectionals, and the CIF State Championships. My goal is to take my swimming career to the next level by swimming in college.
