Roman Le Sage '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, 

My name is Roman, and I am a 17 year old swimmer for the Southwest Stars.  I love the dedication, grit, and determination that swimming entails.  I swim a variety of events and am constantly getting better at all strokes.  I bring endless effort and work ethic with a goal of leading by example.  My main events are: 200 Butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 Freestyle, and the 50 Freestyle.  Swimming was not my first sport ; I grew up playing almost any sport that was offered to me as I have played 12 sports in my life.  Sport has guided my life and is where I want to take my career in the future to continue to do what I love. Even though I have only been swimming for a short 5 years, I have found a love for swimming and will continue to improve.  I grew up in Australia from the ages of 4-13 years old and it was there that I began my swimming career.  Growing up in another country, I offer an alternative viewpoint on a lot of subjects and can see things in ways that I have found most do not.  Furthermore, I have developed an appreciation for my experiences and have learnt how to adapt to my surroundings while still remaining myself.
