Swimming is the only sport I have ever participated competitively in. Growing up, as I became a better swimmer, I learned countless life lessons and built up character traits that have helped me to become a better person. Most importantly, swimming taught me how to succeed and push myself individually, but at the same time, the sport teaches people how to function on a team, as well as team bonding and teamwork. These are values I will use for the rest of my life, this is why swimming is so meaningful to me. I  would love to be able to continue on and be a student athlete on a Varsity Swim Team at the collegiate level.
