Hi, I’m Diego 

Nice to see you looking at my profile 

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico until I was seven, but I started swimming when I was eight years old back in New Jersey when I saw my older brother Luis take up the sport. I started swimming at the YMCA and after a few years I moved to Illinois. Which is when I first started Club swimming. I loved the thrill of racing and having friends while sharing a sport we liked, so I kept swimming. Flash forward a few years and I still love the sport and would like to swim in College as a way to keep doing what I love, and to stay in shape and meet new people in the next chapter in my life. 

Other than swimming I like being outdoors doing things like fishing, and love warm weather.
