Austin Butcher '12 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming competively 7 years. I am currently in 12th grade and I am the Captain of my swim team. I try to be the best leader I can be. I was voted MVP of my high school team my sophomore and junior season. I just finished my junior season. I finished 2nd in the 100 free at our sectional meet with a time of 48.27 and I won the 100 back in 52.97. I also made the state cut in that event. I always put my education first. I plan to major in Exercise Science. I have aspirations of being a coach after college. I would love to find a school that meets my academic needs. I am also looking for a school with a great team that makes it feel more like a family rather than a team. I consider every school that shows interest. I am an A and B student, and have been my entire school career. I always swim on my club team in the offseason of high school season. I also lift weights 3 days a week. My family is in need of Financial aid. I am excited to continue my swimming career into college. Thank you for reading this statement.
