Personal Statement

I was put on the academic register for gifted and talented at age 10 and completed several mathematics qualifications six years ahead of my peers.
I am not a swimmer who has always won but more an expert in losing who stuck to the process and eventually grew, got stronger and started to excel.
I have been British 100m Fly champion for 2 years and this year became 200m fly champion.

I have been selected for the British 2028 Olympics Butterfly Talent program and also won the prestigious Swim England Sports Person of the year award in 2023.

I want to be a swimmer that not only competes but brings camaraderie and compassion to a team. In the future I would love to use my passion for mathematics and physics to help improve and influence the sport in some way.

I believe that my strong academics, dedication to swimming and independence gained from being in boarding school for the last year position me well for college life as a student Athlete in the U.S.
