2021 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am one of the few sprinters in Barbados who has been consistently winning gold medals in the 50m freestyle event. I presently have more than 10 Gold medals in this event and in addition, from October 2016 to the present I have won either gold or silver medal in this event at local competitions. I also hold the National Record in the 11-12 age groups 50m Freestyle with a a time of 26.59 and I have every single meet record of the 50m freestyle up until the 13-14 age group. Very often at regional meets I am the only person representing Barbados in this sprint event at the finals. I also compete in the 50 butterfly and the 100 freestyle events.
In addition to my sporting abilities, I am also strong in academics. I have 10 CXC O’ levels subjects. I am currently pursuing Biology, Management of Business and Physical Education and Sport at Advance Level at my High School. Barbados has not had in recent times any sprinters representing the island in sprint events at Olympics or any major international competitions and therefore I would like to follow in the footsteps of former Barbadian Olympian Martyn Forde -whose 19 year old 50m freestyle record I broke at CCCAN in 2017- and represent Barbados in a sprint event at the Olympics.

- I represented Barbados at the Carifta games for the year 2022 in the 50 freestyle and 50 breastroke as well as the 4x100 medley and freestyle relays and the 4x50 freestyle relay. I came 9th in the 50 meter freestyle and a new personal best in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.53 seconds long course metres. Also a relay split time of 55.01

- I represented Barbados at the CARIFTA games which is an inter-Caribbean island swim competition. I swam 50 back, 50 free and 100 free. I made finals in 50 free and placed 6th with a time of 25.60

- I represented Barbados in this competition. I swam all of 50 m events and 100 free and 4X50m medley and Mixed 4X50 m Freestyle relay. The 4x50 medley broke the national record.

- I represented Barbados in the competition in the 11-12 age group, competing in the50m backstroke, 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle along with the Mixed 4x50m freestyle relay, Boys 11-12 4x100m freestyle and medley relays. I made the finals in the 50m and 100m freestyle as well as the 4x100m freestyle and medley relays and the 4x50m freestyle mixed relay placing 3rd with a time of 26.65 which broke the 19 year old Barbados national record,8th with a time of 1.00.82,4th,3rd and 4th respectively.

- I represented Barbados at this competition in the 11-12 age group and did 50m back, breast and freestyle, 100m freestyle and breast and 200m freestyle along with the 4x100m freestyle and medley relay and the 4x50m freestyle relay. I made finals in the 50m freestyle , the 4x100m freestyle and medley relay and the 4x50m freestyle relay placing 4th with a time of 27.30, 4th, 2nd and 5th respectively.
