I have been swimming competitively since I was 12 years old. After 5 full years of swimming, it has dawned on me that I am determined to swim at a collegiate level at a Division 3 school.
Every swimmer is dedicated and competitive but not all can do it with a big smile like I can. Despite my competitive nature, I have a mutual respect and love for all my teammates and competitors. It is my mission to ensure every practice ends with smiles which adds to the growing camaraderie and motivation of the team.
It is extremely difficult to balance a rigorous training schedule on top of being a full IB student. I found that to achieve my goal of being a collegiate student-athlete, I need to maintain both my life in the classroom and in the pool.
