Hayden Linscott '17 Recruiting Profile

Last year at the 6A Kansas State Swim and Dive Championship I had a great meet where I placed second in the 100 Free with a personal best time of 46.90 and fifth in the 50 Free with a time of 21.55.  It was also quite an experience to anchor the 4x100 free relay where we sealed the deal on a second straight KS state championship for SME!

My goals for this year are:

• 100 Free = Break 45 mid and win the individual 100 freestyle state championship. 
• Prove versatility as an all around swimmer by achieving state cut times in all eight individual events.
• During Wiley's 30+ years at SME, he has only had one other swimmer accomplish this feat.  He communicated to me and all in attendance at our year end banquet that I will be the second SME swimmer to do this and it will happen during the 2015/16 season.  I will not let him down!
• 50 Free = 20.55
• 100 Fly = 51.75
• 100 Back = 53.25 
• 200 IM = 1:52.75
• 200 Free = 1:40.00

I'v also participated in NCSA junior national meets this year in Orlando, FL and Indianapolis, IN where I made the final in the 50 free and swam a long course personal best time of 24.86.   My plan is to qualify for the winter junior national meet in both the 50 and 100 free and swim a coupel of bonus events to provide further proof of versatility.
