Swimming is my passion - it has been since I joined the summer swim team when I was 8 years old. I now swim for three teams throughout the year. A high point for me this year on my high school swim team was placing 6th at the MAC Red Division Championship in the 100 Back as a freshman. A close second was being one of two freshman chosen to join our State Team as an alternate. While swimming is the sport I am dedicated to, I am also involved in other areas. When swim season ended, I joined the track team and earned a varsity letter. I am currently in my second summer as a caddie for a local country club and was promoted to Captain this summer because of my excellent leadership qualities and reliability as an employee.
As both a swimmer and a student, my collegiate goals are to make great achievements, excel in my classes, and make a great impact on my team. My goal is to attend a Division I college, and I am dedicated to both improving my times as a swimmer to make it to this level, and continuing to focus on my academics. During the summer I divide my time between the pool and my job. I've seen what it takes to be a scholar athlete, and I plan to excel in this role as I work my way through high school on my way toward swimming for Division I swimming program.
