I am currently a 14 y/o high school freshman at Northwest Career & Technical Academy in Las Vegas. It is a award winning magnet school. I plan to swim with my zone school which is Centennial High School. I do not have college major picked yet but my general interests are in math and science.
I have been swimming with Desert Storm Swim for about 4 years now. I am dedicated to the sport and currently practice 6 days a week. My friends ask me how I do it- spend so much time at the pool? The truth is that my body and mind crave it. If I miss a day I truly physically and mentally miss it. I am taking AP and honors classes and currently have all A's and 1 B. My academics are important to me and I work hard at the balance between school work and swim. I maintain these grades while maintaining this vigorous practice schedule. I know that to get faster it takes hard work and dedication and I am more than willing to put my time in. I know that this might sound generic but if you take a look at my history/times you can see I am always trying to better myself and become the best I can be. My goal is swim at college and possibly even the Olympics.
