Joseph Froehlich '27 Recruiting Profile

I have been dedicated to swimming since I made my first club team, Team Suffolk, at 6 years old.  I have been a year round swimmer since then, competing also in summer swim for Unqua Corinthian Yacht Club and Prestonwood Country Club, as well as Long Island CYO swimming for St. Martins in the winter. After my family moved from Long Island to North Carolina, I joined TAC in their elite track.  Receiving high level training since I was young has helped me hone my skills, while practicing multiple days a week at a young age has helped me learn to never shy away from the hard work needed to compete at the highest level.

I believe my ability to adapt to new situations sets me apart from other swimmers.  Having to get used to a new team and new school in middle school was a challenge, but my friendliness and openness enabled me to have a whole new set of friends at TAC.  I enjoy being pushed by some of the best swimmers who I consider my closest friends.  I take great pride in being a good teammate, and relish the opportunities to swim in relays.
