Matthew Pech '14 Recruiting Profile

I have been in the sport of competitive swimming since the age of nine. I'm 5'8" and I'm a very passionate swimmer. During my freshman year in high school, I received Second Team All Federal League honors. I also received a coaches award for being the hardest worker on the team in the 2010/2011 season. During my second season in high school, I received Second Team All Federal League honors for the second year in a row. During my Third season in high school, I received Second Team All Federal League as well as Second Team All County and I helped break the school record in the 200 medly relay. One of my greatest attributes is my hard work ethic in the pool, out of the pool, and in the classroom. I'm also a very coachable swimmer and I'm open to advice on changing technique and improving my efficiency in the water. Over the summer I swim with Firestone Aquatics Swim Team (FAST) USA team. All times that you see from that team are long course meters times. As for my education, I would enjoy going to a school that offers a good education that will help me on my path towards being an engineer. I would be content on going to a small to medium sized school, but I'm open to a variety of schools as long as my academic needs are met. My goal is to work hard for you and your swim team to become the best student athlete I can be.
