As someone who grew up in a family that wasn't too fond of water, it was a shock to me and my family when I was convinced to join the high school swim team. My first year was rough as I was brand new in the sport. However, that didn't stop me from trying my best. Swimming was the first sport I played that made me enjoy my work. Continuously breaking my records starting from the ground up keeps pushing me to be the better swimmer I wish to be. Also, the fact that I can enjoy the sport with my friends and ultimately make more is one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. During practice, I try my best to make the environment and teamwork the best possible, as this is how I fell in love with the sport when I first started. Outside of the sport, I believe that being friendly and respectful are the two best traits someone can have. Therefore, I try to represent those two traits to everyone, everywhere. As my senior year is right around the corner, my goal is to continue breaking personal records in the competitive hobby I love while also gaining the education I want for my future. I want to finish what many would say are the best years of someone's life doing what I love and dedicated myself to.
