Hello, my name is Preston Miller. I have been a swimmer since I was 7-8, and while it has taken over my life, I couldn't be happier! Swimming shows not only speed but strength and mental fortitude as well. When I swim the 500 free, it feels good that I've come this far in such a short amount of time. When I enter the water, the cold awakens me and the adrenaline pumping gets me excited to race. I'm currently starting my sophomore year of high school and have made it to districts in 3 events so far. Making it to districts, however, is not my goal. I want to swim statewide by the time I exit high school. When I graduate, I want to swim nationally for the best of the best, racing the best of the best, as this is the greatest way to become the type of swimmer I want to be. As my Dad always says, "You have to beat the best to become the best." I want to be a friend and mentor to my younger teammates, and a fast asset to my relays. This is what swimming is all about.
Best Regards,
Preston Miller
