I started swimming for my local YMCA swim team when I was 7 and fell in love with competitive swimming instantly. I’ve always loved the pool and the atmosphere that comes with it. I’ve swam all strokes very competitively over the years and have made it to states for the YMCA every year since I was 9. I started swimming for my high school varsity team when I was in 9th grade and have specialized in the breaststroke. I'm currently the district 100 breaststroke record holder with a 57.62 and YMCA National Team member for the Oil City YMCA.
To be honest, my grades have always been the thing to hold me back, I’ve always struggled in school and the whole learning system. I feel I have finally figured it out this year and things are looking strong. I know my academics will hold me back from some opportunities but I’m hoping to find a college to not only swim for but to be a part of a positive student body and to succeed academically.
