My name is Massimo Alarcon, and I am a Senior at El Paso High School. I currently have a GPA of 4.17 and I am at the top 15% of my class. In college I plan on earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
I have been swimming for WETT (West Texas Typhoon) Swim Club for 6 years, in which I am the WETT SC Boy- Athlete Representative at Border LSC. In addition, I have been part of the varsity swim team at El Paso High School for 4 years. I’ve had amazing coaches throughout my swimming career in which they have taught me the art of streamline and technique. I have been described by my coaches as committed, driven, patient, honest and polite.
I have been able to balance my academics, my athletic commitments, and my love of music. I have competed in District, Regionals, and State in swimming. Additionally, I have competed in All-region, Area, and State in orchestra. All while being a member of the El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestra. I am the orchestra student President, a member of Student Council, NHS, Key Club, and a Student Ambassador. My hobbies include learning new languages, playing chess and drawing. During the summers, I am an assistant swim coach for a summer swim league the Fighting Frogs. I love teaching and mentoring young swimmers and orchestra players. I believe I have not reached my true swimming potential and have a lot to offer.
