My name is Jacob Richardson, and I’m currently a junior at Monahans High School. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved the water. I started swimming when I was 7 years old, and it’s been a major part of my life ever since. Swimming has taught me discipline, dedication, and the importance of pushing myself to be the best version of who I can be. Whether it's in the pool or in the gym, I work out six days a week and give everything I have.
Outside of swimming, I’m involved in several activities at school, including Student Council, Theater Arts, the PAL program (where I mentor younger students and help guide them in the right direction), and the National Honor Society. I also have a huge love for fashion, art, and design. I’m currently signed to a modeling agency and working toward building a career in the modeling industry. Modeling and swimming are my two biggest passions, and I’m committed to chasing both while continuing to grow as a student, athlete, and person.
Something else that means a lot to me is giving back to my community. It all started when I helped with a food drive at my local church, and since then, I’ve been involved in different volunteer efforts, such as walking in West Texas Fashion Week to help showcase local boutiques and raise money for an organization that supports orphans. No matter where life takes me, I always want to make a positive impact on the people and places around me.
I would love the opportunity to attend a college that values education above all else but also supports me in the pursuit of my passions. I’m looking for a school and a swim coach who understands how important balance is and is willing to work with me through any scheduling conflicts that may come up with modeling or other commitments. I know how to work hard, stay focused, and manage my time well. I believe that with the right environment and support system, I can thrive as both a student and an athlete while also continuing to grow in the swimming and modeling world and as a leader in my community.
