2023 HighlightsHi, I’m Armando Estrella I’ve swam since I was 7 and it has always been a part of my life,I swam on a local summer league team and I had so much fun, I had a late start to club joining around 6th grade and leaving around 7th grade summer to get ready to play football from then through my sophomore year. I also had baseball and just thought that my txla coach at the time was asking too much of me. I swam summer league the whole time still and was winning races by a lot, with little to no practice (since in football all I did was lift and run)at all. I decided that I was gonna finish these last years of high school doing what I did best and it was swimming. I rejoined my junior year and it was the best choice I ever made and my biggest regret that I ever left. I dropped close to 7 seconds from august to February in my 100 breast and had other insane improvements over those months. I realize that I couldn’t live without this sport now and that I’d love to compete at that next level
I think of myself as a committed, hard working, workout-aholic(it’s like workaholic but with working out) and very motivated. I set my goals very far and I probably have 1 or 2 times that I haven’t hit yet. I want to compete at the highest level I can and succeed. I am a very optimistic and positive person and since I have experience in other sports such as baseball and football I have a great grasp on team work and what it means to be apart of one. I think the growth, results, and work ethic are all the reasons I believe you should choose me to go to your school.
