Swimming is not just a sport to me it has now become a part of what makes me who I am. I never really appreciated how hard of a sport swimming could really be until my freshmen year of high school when I went out for my school team. At my first Varsity Swim Meet I felt like an imposter with a swim time of 32.43 in the 50 Free, and wondered why I ever signed up for swimming in the first place. But with each meet, every practice and an insane amount of guidance from my coach I was able to finish out my freshmen year with a time of 27.35 in the 50 Free at my district meet. I give 100% at every practice, at every meet and will not quit until I've reached the goals I have set for myself. I carry myself with pride and respect for my school, my coach, and my teammates. I am not someone who just wants to lead and take point, but I am someone that is a team player and likes to see others succeed. I hope to swim at the collegiate level and thrive not only in the pool but in the classroom as well.
