In my college career I have many goals and aspirations for not only myself, but also for the school that I would like to attend. As for myself, my goals include getting faster of course, but also achieving the mentality of becoming physically and mentally strong and able to push myself past the limit to do better than I did the day before. On the more shallow side, my goals are to win and to get the NCAA cut with being the top eight in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. What makes me different from other recruits in character is the other, extra workouts I do in my spare time to become the best swimmer I can be. This disciplines me for the hard work that I will face in collegiate swimming. Additionally, I have only been swimming for three years! I started to swim in the eighth grade but I actually had no idea how to swim. From the work I am putting in now, you will see that determination everyday to get better not only for myself but also for the team. I also carry myself this way academically. I strive to do even better with my academics than the year before; I try to progress, rather than regress.
