Being the tall, gentle-giant sort of guy with a neurological disorder has made me have to get comfortable with struggling but never giving up. It's made me so much stronger than I thought possible. It's made me learn to compartmentalize my swims, let go of a bad swim quickly and focus on what's next. I bring that hard work ethic, that positivity and that moving forward mentality to my team. Trying new things doesn't scare me because I've learned that 1,000 failures doesn't make you less valuable, we just have to find that one way to make it all work! I have a lot of growth in me still, physically and mentally, and really can't wait to see where swim takes me.
