I have been training hard in tennis since I was 3 years old and living in Jamaica. I am now 15 years old and I’m a USA and Jamaican citizen and Florida resident. I have been competing in tennis tournaments in the USA, Jamaica and the Caribbean since I was 6 years old. I used to play soccer, squash, table tennis and tennis and at about 8 years old, I put all my energies into tennis, because that was what I loved the most. I love the competitive nature and energy I feel when I drive the balls over the net. When I play, I don’t just play, I play to win!
I trained in Jamaica when I was younger and was #1 on my school team and #1 in the nation. I also competed in COTECC tournaments and was #3 in the region. I made it to the top 100 in the USTA and made it to the 2nd round of Eddie Herr at 11 years old in the 12U age group. I won Costa Rica Bowl when I was 13 years old and I am now ranked #1 in Jamaica 18U. My ITF ranking is 1440 and I am now at IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Florida. I am in David Ayme's (Red) group there and train four hours per day with wonderful coaches. I will be playing Eddie Herr main draw, Orange Bowl, USTA National Selection and will continue to play USTA and ITF tournaments over the next few years.
I have always been an A student and now that I am in Grade 11, I have a 3.95 GPA. I enjoy learning both on and off the court and I’m always working to improve in both areas. I dream of playing tennis on the team of a division 1 university, while I strive to keep up my academics and after university either become a professional tennis player and/or become a successful entrepreneur.
