Hi Coaches, my name is Cole Rhule and I'm from Sugar Hill, GA. Since I started playing tennis at 8, I’ve been a part of multiple high performance academies, and helped start a varsity team at my school in my junior year. Tennis has taught me hard-work, how to be mentally tough, and most of all perseverance (especially through a few injuries I’ve experienced). I enjoy playing in tournaments, and play as much tennis as I can. I would consider myself an aggressive baseliner. My serve is my favorite shot, as it helps me carry out patterns and plans in points. Of course, I still (and will always) have room to improve and continue to do so every time I go out on the court. My biggest goal at this point in life is to play tennis at the college level.
Due to a wrist injury and car accident I experienced through my freshman and part of junior years, I was set back in my progression. Because of that, I didn't play as many tournaments and instead focused on rehab and practice. I know my rankings reflect that, and that's something I have and will continue to work on throughout my last year of high school.
As far as my academic goals go, I have always had high ambitions in school. Throughout high school I have maintained all A’s as well as AP classes and many extracurriculars. I am very involved with Beta Club, as I was the Treasurer my junior year (2021-2022), and have been elected as President for my senior year (2022-2023). I am a teacher’s assistant for the Freshman Algebra 1 and Physical Science Classes, and enjoy pouring into younger people. In college, I am looking for the same level of rigor or even an honors program if possible. At this point, my plan is to pursue a degree in business (management or marketing most likely) and plan to work for a company until I’m able to become a real-estate investor.
An integral part of my tennis game as well as overall life is my faith. My trust in Jesus has brought me far in life, and I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without just that. Preferably, I would be looking for a christian college where I can be uplifted and enriched, not only in academics and athletics, but in my walk with Christ as well. Alternatively, a college with programs such as BCM or other Christian club would be a must!
Thank you so much for your time reading this exert about me, and it is my hope that we can talk further about what you would be looking for in a tennis player and college student!
