I have a long time to make a decision on what I would like to do as a career. If I had to say what I think would be interesting as a job it would be an engineer or a pharmacist. I want to be good enough at this sport that I can get my degree in the career I choose and I can also have an opportunity play tennis while getting that degree. One of my biggest strengths is that when I find something that I really like then I want to be the best I can be at it! I want to see how good I can become by practicing and playing hard. I love practicing all parts of the sport. Most of my friends on the middle school tennis team they wont go to workout and lift weights or do footwork drills or even play all year around.. They don't watch videos on the internet on stroke mechanics or strategy. They just play during the season and play some tournaments but other than that they don't have that desire to want to be better. That's how I see myself as being different. I will do what I have to to become a better player. After I switched from playing soccer to playing tennis before I went into middle school I started playing all the time. My dad bought me and my older brother these foam practice balls. I would hit up against our garage door when it was too wet to play on the courts or when I couldn't get a ride to go to the courts to practice against the wall at our local high school. I have only been playing tennis for two and a half years and I have learned a completely different sport and become competitive in my age group in a short time. The reason for progressing so quickly is that I think I have natural athletic talent. Sports of all kinds come easy for me. I have loved playing tennis from the first time my mother took me out to play when I was eleven or so and I have come a long way in a short time. I am a very good student and I have always taken my classes very seriously. Occasionally I have to study extra hard on a certain math or science subject but I approach my classes the same way I approach tennis and I work hard at it. If something doesn't come easy it just means I will work harder than anyone else to achieve my goal.
