My name is Damon Lemke. I am 5' 9" and weigh 115 lbs. My dad is a Software Engineer and my mom is an Operations Administrative Assistant at School of the Osage. I have two brothers, a sister and a dog named Graci. My oldest brother Shane is a farmer in Iowa and Dustin and Aleah are twins in 9th grade. Dustin is in Cross Country and Aleah plays Volleyball.
I started playing tennis my Freshman year and was on the JV team. After spending the summer with a private lesson coach, I made the varsity team as a Sophomore and was #2 on the team. I won Districts and competed at the sectional level. I continue to work with my private lessons coach on a weekly basis working with groups twice a week and a personal lesson once a week. My personal goal is to compete at the state level as well as continuing to play as many USTA tournaments that is financially feasible.
I did not become familiar with tennis until later in my athletic career as I started playing competitive baseball when I was 6 years old. I ran track in Middle School and played basketball in Middle School and my Freshman year. After several years of baseball and basketball I then realized I wanted to play a sport that was all about me. I have realized that tennis is my passion, its a sport I love and I know it is something that I can continue to play the rest of my life. I am always trying to become better on and off the court.
I am interested in becoming a Meteorologist after High School.
