My goals in tennis and in academics are equally important. I would like to enjoy not just being on the tennis court but also enjoy going to classes as well. I started playing tennis when I was seven years old when my parents took me up to the Ebensburg Tennis Center and it's been my favorite sport ever since. Being good at something is achieved by working hard at it then through dedication. My dedication towards tennis will also help me to dedicate myself to the academic and athletic sides of college. Then it takes perseverance to continue to work at something even if I keep failing or not winning a match. Because of my persistence to reach my personal goals for school and in tennis, I continue to work on what needs improvement. Finally, one of the things that I have learned is to be adaptable to anything that is thrown my way. This could be a really hard serve on the tennis court or a teacher that expects me to learn and teach myself. My ability to adapt to on and off the court situations has helped me in both areas. These three traits will help me be successful in college on and off the court. They will also help me to achieve my goals. I have heard that college is not easy and is as they say "a different beast" but with these traits that I have developed and the hard work that I prepared to do will be an amazing time for me.
