Madhav Valla '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madhav Valla, I am 5'9" and 140 lbs. I am currently a senior at Moravian Academy in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I have competed at the state tournament two years in a row now, and reached the quarter-finals of the doubles state tournament this last year. I helped my team to a semi-final showing at the state tournament my sophomore year as well. I have played tennis competitively for five years at the sectional and high school level. This upcoming season I am a captain and I am thoroughly looking forward to the responsibility of leading my team to a state championship this year. I believe my best attribute is my drive to work hard every time I step on the court. I am always the last to leave the court ( with my bag of drenched clothes in hand).  I would like to go to school somewhere on the east coast so I can explore the big cities in the US, however still be a short flight away from home.  My dream college is a college that is big enough so that I can meet many new people without being able to meet everyone, but also small enough that I can get personal attention with teachers.  It would be preferable if it had a nice "classic college campus" but had access to a large urban city as well.  I open to any reasonably large DI, or DIII schools (especially those with established undergraduate buisness schools).  I am very interested in Buisness (specifically Entrepeneurship, Economics, Finance, and Accounting), and Psychology.  Furthermore, I hope to successfully balance a high GPA with a high performance and showing as a freshman varsity athlete at whatever college or university that decides to take me.  I will bring my leadership, charisma, hard work, and balanced lifestyle to the school and courts everyday, and will attain success in whatever endeavors I pursure.
