My name is Jack Chapman, and I am a junior at Mountain Brook High School who runs Cross Country and Track. In college, I plan to major in a Health Sciences field, because I hope to one day become a Physical Therapist. I believe I will be a good member of any team because I am a very hard worker and always strive to do my best while encouraging my teammates to do the same. I feel like team morale is super important to the success of its runners. While I am more of a quiet leader than the life of the party, I always try to lead by setting an example with my work ethic, my dedication to academics, and my character. As a sophomore, I was happy to receive The Coach’s Award, which is given to the team member who exemplifies all that the staff is looking for in a student athlete. As a Junior, I received the Spartan Stand-Out Award, which is given to a student by teachers and faculty who have displayed trustworthiness through their character and actions.
