My name is Landon Torres, and I am from Bakersfield, California. Running track is a significant part of my life, and my passion for track and field has only intensified over the years.
I discovered my love for running in junior high when I joined the cross-country team. My passion for track truly ignited in my freshman year of high school when I joined the track team. Since then, I have devoted countless hours to training and enhancing my skills, striving to be the best athlete I can be.
I am proud of my accomplishments, which include participating in the Masters, where I placed 7th in the 300-meter hurdles. Running track has been instrumental in teaching me the values of resilience, dedication, and sportsmanship.
Academically, I maintain a 3.7 GPA while excelling in subjects like history and mathematics. I am also an active member of the band's drum line and the school's Internet Engineering Academy, where I have developed critical thinking and leadership skills.
In the short term, my goal is to continue improving my performance in track and field while maintaining high academic standards. Long term, I aspire to compete at the collegiate level and pursue degrees in sports medicine and computer science.
Competing in track and field at the collegiate level is a dream of mine because it will allow me to further develop my skills and compete against top athletes. I believe my dedication, work ethic, and passion for the sport make me a strong candidate for a college track team. I am eager to contribute to a college program, both on the track and in the classroom.
I am excited about the possibility of bringing my talents, determination, and positive attitude to a college track and field team. Thank you for considering my profile. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your program and grow as both an athlete and a student.
