David Jaquez '21 Recruiting Profile

    My name is David Jaquez. I am currently a senior at Covina High school. I'm the head varsity captain for the cross country team and a 3rd year varsity runner. My goals this year is to finish a strong cross country season, run sub 4:40 for the mile, and break the 800m school record which stands at 1:55. I am very dedicated and hard working when it comes to competing on the track. I have struggled in school my sophomore and junior year but I didn't let it get the best of me and I persevered through. Due to COVID-19 I was not able to take the SAT but I hope to take it soon. I plan on finishing my senior year strong in both the classroom and on the track. For college, a competitive and family-type team where I can make a strong contribution is ideal for me. A college with a good kinesiology or excersice science program would also be very ideal for me.
