Mt Carmel finish ...Every step you take is more valuable than the last one you took. This is because it took a step to get to the step and so on and so forth. This applies not only to running but to every goal in life. But when I am in a race thinking to myself "why I have to push myself just for more pain". I remember what I told myself, "In a race you can almost never lose, even If you go through that finish line in last place, with the slowest time you ran, you still win because you finish it. You took those steps to get there. But you only lose when you take back those steps, those valuable steps you took to get to those finish line, when you decide to not achieve your goal of going to that finish line, all those steps you took were all for nothing. That's I am never going to back down from my goal, I am never going to give up more goals, because I am not going to turn those steps into nothing. I am going to keep using those steps to go through the finish line, I am going to keep using those steps to go through to be one of the best academic wise, I am going to keep using those steps to go through to run at the college level, because I am not turning those steps into nothing. That's why I don't give up.
Hello, my name is Luis-Fernando Martinez, I am a student-athlete at La Quinta high school. I started running because after every run I feel proud of myself even if it wasn't a race. But I enjoy running because of my teammates, doing it with other people is 10x more fun and 10x more rewarding when you reach your goal, because they have congratulated me as I have congratulated them. I do Cross-country and Track and Field, and do distance of 1600m (4:42), 3200m (10:33), and I almost certain I have potential in the 800m although I haven't run it as of now, and plan to do those sports in the college level. As I said I don't give up and I will be pushing myself to get faster time and improving as a student-athlete. I will be entering cross country as a sophomore in the varsity level, and keep coaches updated on how the season goes on my profile.
